Bachelor (Chemical Engineering)
Hello, my name is Manny. I have Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Delaware (May 2004) and have MBA from University of Maryland University College (Sep 2009). I have been tutoring students since high school and have more than 15 year of tutoring experience. Most recently, I am working with an AP Calculus student to improve her grades. Previously, I have worked at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) at Dundalk campus from Nov 2009 to Jan 2014. I have provided small group and individual tutoring sessions to a diverse student population at CCBC for Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I have guided students to develop the personal and academic skills needed to become independent learners and also presented different study strategies to improve students' confidence as learners. I have also obtained my certification as CRLA tutor while working at CCBC in the summer of 2012.
I have also worked at home through through an in-home tutoring company from Jan 2012 to May 2012. I have developed action plans based on students’ and educators’ academic goals and explained complex concepts using easy-to-understand terms. I have coordinated schedules with various students to provide weekly tutoring sessions and communicated with parents and teachers to update them on student progress on a regular and consistent basis.
If you are looking for a reliable and sincere tutor, there is no need to wait and contact me immediately.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
