I am a Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese native speaker. I have lived in China for 36 years. I taught Chinese Mandarin to 4-8th graders and individuals in NJ from 2007-2010. After my military service, I taught Chinese Mandarin to military personnel on multiple military bases. Finally I relocated to Maryland and continued my teaching career.

I love to teach children or adults who are interested in Chinese Mandarin and cultures. My teaching is not only to focus on help increasing their grades, passing tests but also to introduce a concept of how a foreign language can effect to their futures. I enjoy volunteering for Chinese events at my child's school or in the community.

I also had three students (age 7, 9 and 28) in Tacoma, WA in 2014. I earned my bachelor degree in Intelligence Operations in AMU. I am working on a master degree in Chinese Immersion Education in PSU. My goal is to teach Chinese languages to all ages who are interested in learning Chinese languages and cultures.

Dedicated, patient and knowledgeable tutor.

Ms. L is very patient and dedicated to working with her students. I could tell from our initial meeting that she loved teaching Chinese. She is very adept at recognizing her student’s problem areas and developing methods to help them improve. My HS son was struggling with Chinese but now has a clearer understanding of the language and stronger study skills to be successful. Ms. L was very instrumental in helping him achieve his success. I definitely would recommend her to other students.
