Lycoming College (History)
Hello! I am a recent graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA. I recently moved to Hagerstown, MD.
I majored in History at Lycoming and had minors in Anthropology and Environmental Sustainability. I began tutoring students at the end of 2012 (my freshman year) and officially tutored under the school in Jan, 2013. Supervised and trained by the director of the Academic Resource Center, I first tutored international students in a range of subjects, but focused on English. I then began working at the Writing Center and helped students in all parts of the writing process, including thesis-building, research, outlining, and proofreading. I also tutored specific subjects, including World Religions, History, Anthropology, and Environmental Sustainability. In my senior year, I was a Resident Student Mentor, where I lived on the same floor as freshman students attending a Civil Rights Revolution seminar. I also mentored upperclassmen that were on academic probation.
I really enjoyed my years tutoring my peers at Lycoming College, and was sad to finish upon graduation in May. After just returning and recuperating from a trip to the UK for a May-term class abroad, I would love to now begin tutoring other students in need of my help!
I tutored English for 3 years and loved every minute of it! I tutored both American and International students.
I love tutoring and would love to help any local students in need. I would prefer if you could provide transportation, and we could meet at my home or at the coffee shop down the street if you are more comfortable with that. Please contact me if you would like to set something up with me or learn more about me.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
