Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

EXPERIENCE: I have tutored students in ACT Exam preparation for over a decade. Students whom I tutor succeed not only because I help them learn the material, but also because they act on the time management and studying tips I give to them. My goal is to help create a well-rounded student, one who is able to translate the lessons he or she has learned under my tutelage to other endeavors.

BACKGROUND: Since 1993, I have taught mathematics courses ranging from algebra, geometry, and financial math to trigonometry, calculus, and differential equations at several institutions of higher learning, including Clemson University, The United States Military Academy, Southern Illinois University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Illinois State University, Wittenberg University, and The Pennsylvania State University.

EXPERIENCE: Since 1993, I have both taught and tutored beginner, intermediate, and advanced algebra at the high school, community college, and university levels.

I have nearly twenty years of experience in teaching and tutoring Algebra 2 in high schools and community colleges nationwide.

I also have a great deal of experience in teaching mathematics at the university level. I have taught math courses ranging from algebra, geometry, and financial math to trigonometry, calculus, and differential equations at several institutions of higher learning, including Clemson University, The United States Military Academy, Southern Illinois University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Illinois State University, Wittenberg University, and The Pennsylvania State University.

I have tutored and taught both differential and integral calculus for almost twenty years. I have taught Calculus I and II at Clemson University, The United States Military Academy, Southern Illinois University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Illinois State University, Wittenberg University, and The Pennsylvania State University.

I hold a Ph.D. in mathematics (Clemson University, 1999). I have twenty years of mathematics teaching experience at the college level. This includes experience in teaching differential equations. In addition to teaching differential equations, I have also tutored differential equations students for most of the past twenty years.

I am highly qualified to tutor students in discrete math because I not only hold a Ph.D. in mathematics (Clemson University, 1999), but also because my area of mathematical research was in a branch of discrete mathematics. I have taught and tutored mathematics at the college level for the past twenty years. This experience includes both teaching discrete math courses and tutoring discrete math students.
