I have a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Teaching Certificate in Mathematics 6-12. My certificate is valid 7/1/2013 through June 30, 2018. I taught full time for Baltimore City Schools from September 1992-July 1995. I have been a substitute teacher since 2009. (2009-2015.)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have qualified as a certified Mathematics Teacher 7-12 with the Maryland State Department of Education. Furthermore, I have been a substitute teacher within the Baltimore County Public School system for about 4 years. During that period of time, I was the main teacher for an elementary class for about 40% of my assignments, and I usually worked 3-4 days per week. I am currently working on a qualification in ESOL, and I have taken several graduate level courses in this subject at UMBC.

Elementary Math

I have served as a substitute teacher for many years and many of my assignments have been with elementary school children. I enjoy this age group very much and I have worked with many children, even some with disabilities. I have children of my own (and some grandchildren), and I would enjoy working with your elementary age child in mathematics.

I attended the Governor's Academy for Math and science, and I was an intern at the Space Science Institute offered through Johns Hopkins University for math and science teachers. I'm an enthusiastic teacher and I'm eager to help your son or daughter.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I took Algebra II when I was in high school. In college I took more advanced subjects. A few years ago I took a college algebra course and I was surprised how much seemed new to me (had I forgotten that much?) Algebra II is tough because so much of what may have been poorly learned comes back to haunt you. Let me help. I love this stuff.
