Bridgewater State University (Chemistry)
Georgetown University (Master's)
Hi, my name is Joe and am a currently enrolled in the Master's Program in Tumor Biology at Georgetown University. I earned my Bachelor's in both Chemistry and Biology at a state school in MA: Bridgewater State University. While there I served as a vice president of the Pre-Medical club and earned a GPA of 3.41. I also took part in undergraduate research while at BSU in the chemistry lab. My project involved organic synthesis of small molecules as potential targets for RNA viruses. I have successfully completed classes in many chemistry classes and biology classes, including microbiology, virology, cancer biology, cell biology, quantitative chemical anaylsis, genetics, intermediate and advanced inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and many others.
Although I have not tutored for monetary reward, I have helped many students in their coursework over the span of my undergraduate career. Of course making money is important; however I really enjoy tutoring and the reward that comes with helping other. I have a strong advocate for higher learning and feel that is incredibly important for advancing one's career and brain development. I would prefer staying in the Georgetown/DC area for tutoring. The libraries here have study rooms, equipped with white boards that can be booked for tutoring. I will however travel off the university to meet at other locations. I do commute from Germantown, MD therefore I am also available in that particular area as well. Contact me here if you want to get some help in any of your biology, chemistry, or even some may classes. Thank you

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Bachelors in Chemistry
I am writing to becoming approved to tutor Organic Chemistry. I have my Bachelors in Chemistry (and Biology) with a total GPA of 3.41. I received A's in both semesters of Organic Chemistry and have assisted multiple students with questions about the various topics within Organic. I also have experience in the laboratory as well. While an undergraduate I participated in a research project involving synthesis of organic molecules. Therefore I can also help students understand laboratory techniques as well.
