People are often surprised to know that I am a professional swim instructor and a diving student at the same time. -- 10 years of competitive swimming with the National swimming team, playing myriad sports, and almost 4 years of swim instructing to children ages 2-16 & adults ages 19-50. I tend to keep my lessons fun and energetic for the student to be engaged all throughout our time together. My number 1 safety rule is 'NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON YOUR STUDENTS'; in other words, I never leave a student unless he's comfortable in the water on his own. Recently, I turned to coaching a summer camp. I love being able to help kids achieve milestones and overcome obstacles; it truly is one of the greatest feeling on earth. From there, I knew that swim coaching is my passion, a future coach of 2 major sports (swimming & diving), and my strive towards becoming a certified diving instructor. I feel as if I have this innate ability to connect with people of all ages, whether through sports, my willingness to make a fool of myself to help a child learn something new, or through just sitting down and having a talk. I have found my passion, and I will pursue it with everything I've got -- sarcasm and all. :)

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a professional swimmer for the National team for 10 years, and I coached swimming locally and internationally for 3.5 years to kids, adults, and special needs. My specialized stroke is Butterfly. I know the eight Mastery levels and how the curriculum or process is supposed to be gradually taught to a student, starting with body glides above the water, then streamlines, then kicks, then arms, then rotary breathing and dives.
I have two years of assistant coaching at The Shooting Club in Egypt, after that one year of solo coaching the Gezira Water Polo team.
