Hello I’m Tyler! I am currently enrolled in my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am a Politcal Science major with the intent to go to law school and become an attorney in the future.
My tutoring experience began through my high schools national honor society. Through this prestigious organization, I was able to tutor elementary school students in mathematics and social studies. My tutoring experience grew with AVID tutoring during my junior and senior year. I was able to tutor high school students in this program in the fields of Science, specifically chemistry, Algebra, and Writing. In total I have four strong years of tutoring experience with all age groups.
I graduated high school with an above 4.0 GPA in highest honors. I was a member of the national honor society, class president, chairman in the SGA, and a student in the International Baccalaureate program. This program demanded full commitment and a strenuous work load. This was a two year program that diversified the students in numerous areas of studies. This program has enabled me to become well rounded in multiple areas of studies.
I believe the two most crucial aspects of tutoring are the teaching and understanding of the source material, but also the relationship established between the student and the tutor. In my past experience I have found that the relationship and trust are essential to transfer the knowledge and understanding. It is my hopes to establish this relationship with my students so that I can best tutor them in their desired fields.
Ultimately, I am here to help students in need. Depending on the age group, I can be flexible with areas of study. Through all age groups, I specialize in Chemisty, Writing, Mathematics, and American History. I have a very flexible schedule and a rapid response time! Thank you, and feel free to ask any questions!

I have studied statistics for three years now. In high school I took an Advanced Placement Statistics class, and then in college I took an Applied Statistics course. In both courses I got an A, and was able to help classmates in need.

I have studied Chemsitry for four years now. In high school I began the study with the required Chemisty course, but then went deeper when choosing Chemisty as my field of study for the International Baccalaureate program. This required me to advanced Chemisty for two more years. I also took a Chemisty 101 course in college that I was extremely prepared for. My sense of math and numbers has enabled me to succeed in Chemisty and as a tutor.

I have taken advanced writing course throughout my entire high school career as well as my college. My teachers and professors have noticed my passion and creative sense in writing and recommended me for harder level courses. I have been very prosperous in extended essays as well as short timed essays. Overall I obtain many crucial aspects to be a successful writer.

Through high school I studied world history. The only American history we focused on was involvement in the major wars. This last semester in college I took a deeper diver into American history by taking the course American History until 1865. Up to this date this has been my favorite course I have taken, and inspired me to study American History outside of school.

I have played soccer pretty much all of my life. In high school I played three years of varsity soccer, and was the varsity captain my senior year. I was also on the roster of the Hood College Soccer team, but decided to transfer schools. I have a great sense of the game of soccer, and am physically good at the game as well. Soccer has been a passion of mine for as long as I remember, and I would love to share it with those who would like to learn and grow as a player!

Hello students! If you’re in need of tutoring, but want to be able to enjoy your learning experience, then I’m the man for you! Please feel free to ask my any questions regarding my lessons! I look forward to the experience!
