I am an elementary school teacher for Frederick County Public Schools. Throughout my four years of teaching, I have worked as a reading specialist, magnet teacher, and general education teacher.
I recently graduated from Hood College with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and have been accepted as a member of Frostburg State University's Doctoral Program.
I am currently pursuing a teaching position at the collegiate level but would love to continue working to help children at the elementary level become more confident learners. I am very familiar with the Common Core curriculum in our county and have a strong knowledge of all subject areas and best practices.
I have been teaching mathematics for four years and am current on the most effective teaching strategies to reach all learners.
I worked as a reading specialist for a period of time and am used to teaching students of varying ability levels.
I have been teaching this curriculum throughout my entire career with the county. I am certified as a K-6 teacher in the county and have been actively teaching for the past four years.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been teaching in Frederick County Public Schools for four years. During this time, I have taught math to both students in the magnet program as well as in the general education setting. I am well-versed in the most current math initiatives and strategies to reach diverse learners.
My certification allows me to teach students in grades K-6 in the state of Maryland. I have been actively teaching for four years. I recently graduated from Hood College with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
