I am a recent graduate of Northeastern Illinois University. I received my BS in Elementary Education, and minored in TESOL. I have many endorsements including Middle School, Language Arts, Social Science, and TESOL.
I am very excited about starting my career and am ready to work with new students! I have been trained to teach according to Common Core State Standards and am passionate about helping students understand the new concepts that go along with these standards. I am very enthusiastic and creative with my teaching, and hope to improve the lives of my students by empowering them with new learning tools to better comprehend the material assigned to them.
I have been a nanny for many years, where I was fortunate enough to help tutor the kids. I have also been able to complete hundreds of clinical hours/student teaching hours helping teach and tutor students in the elementary and high school setting.
I have taught 3rd and 4th grade math for a year.
I have been endorsed in Language Arts.
I have been trained on Common Core State Standards and have been teaching while meeting these standards for the past year.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
