Since 2003, I've been referred to as the superhero of tutoring, swooping in to save students from the mathematical abyss! My superpower? Guiding them through the treacherous lands of pre-algebra all the way up to the daunting summit of Calculus I, with a chill and laid-back attitude. No need to worry about extra homework from me (unless, of course, you're a glutton for punishment) – I know most students are already up to their necks in it.

I simply swoop in, help them make sense of the academic chaos they're dealing with, and fill in those pesky knowledge gaps. If they're lost, I'll be their trusty GPS, guiding them back to familiar territory and building from there.

Oh, and did I mention? I'm also a chess wizard! I've taught countless young minds the mystical art of this ancient game. To avoid sending them into a spiral of confusion, I start with a simple game of "Chess Lite," using only a few pieces, before revealing the full extent of the game's delightful complexity.

I have been an outdoor school/event photographer for 3 years. I have experience with several Canon DSLRs using natural as well as off camera lighting (flash). I specialize in outdoor school photography where we take students through a variety of poses and expressions. The trick is finding the right spot with even lighting and a nice background. Then you just pop a little flash, look for it in the eyes and you're set!

I love teaching chess to new players. By only introducing one piece at a time, newcomers to the game are never overwhelmed by the complexity of the game. Usually we start with a "pawn battle" and add an additional piece each game.

My kid likes him, and that's nothing to sneeze at

Scott is competent, friendly, patient, and communicative. My kid is picky about people who are instructors/tutors/etc., but she likes Scott's demeanor. I recommend him.
