I have taught, Earth Science, Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Sciences from the Kindergarten through Senior High School, and tutored the same group to include aspiring Community College, Junior College, and full-time 4-year candidates who were in need of assistance. At the High-School level, I was Co-Director and tutor in our school's "Academic Center for Excellence" whose mission was to uplift and challenge accelerated students to Be All They Could Be--to Steal a motto from the U.S. Army. These endeavors took place in settings from a single individual student to large classrooms of nearly forty.
I traveled extensively across the United States and lived in at least fifteen different states. While growing up as an Army dependent (Brat) I lived in Japan twice, Germany and was conversant in both Japanese and German. While these skills have eroded greatly to date, I continue to value my travel overseas and to keep up with world current events as they influence science, technology and the global community today.
I have worked for 14+ years with Advanced Placement, Accelerated, at pace, and special needs students. I am patient, capable of determining general and specific areas of student strengths and shortcomings. I communicate this ability well with classroom students a well as smaller groups--including one-on-one opportunities.

I have lived in and visited more than twenty-five countries, and forty of the lower 48 states. I have great respect for cultural and ethnic differences and delight in my opportunities to bring them together. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
