In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am quite comfortable and knowledgeable in ACT math tutoring. I scored 800 on 800 in my GRE quants test.

I have studied Algebra during my undergrad at Indian Institute of Technology. I have also taught Algebra to high-school students. I feel its a fun topic if you understand the basics. It's also a fundamental stepping stone for other advanced topics.

I have been programming in C++ for the last 7 years in a high-tech software company. I am quite experienced and comfortable in teaching C++ to newbies as well as people with some programming experience.

I have studied Calculus during my undergrad at Indian Institute of Technology, as well as during my PhD. Most recently I have revised it again during my Financial Engineering program at Columbia University.

I actively use Calculus during my current day-today work as a Researcher in an IT company.

Recently I have also completed a certification in Financial Engineering at Columbia University, which makes heavy use of differential equations. I am a Computer Vision and Image processing engineer by profession and we rely on modeling/solving many problems as differential equations.

I have taught Geometry to high school students. It's a fun topic and immensely useful. As a Computer Vision and Image Processing researcher, I use it frequently in my current job.
