Hello! I'm Heidi and I graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a Bachelor's degree in meteorology (atmospheric science) along with a minor in geography. I have been working as a broadcast meteorologist ever since graduation. A big part of this job is to teach people. Hello! I'm Heidi and I graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a Bachelor's degree in meteorology (atmospheric science) along with a minor in geography. I have been working as a broadcast meteorologist ever since graduation. A big part of this job is to teach people. In college, I studied countless math equations, but then when it came to the real world you have to break it down for everyone to understand. This is where teaching comes into play. It isn't about the math anymore, but about the real world concepts and that my job for when it comes to tutoring students. I break down a difficult subject and make it easy to understand.

I am an on-air meteorologist and I teach the public about the weather in simple ways. With lots of pictures and graphics. I also do presentations on what weather is to 100 kids at a time and teach them how it impacts their daily lives. After a presentation is complete, I will go to each individual student and answer any questions they may have. It doesn't just have to be on the physical sciences, but also on math or geography. They know that they can come to me for anything and ask me everything.

I have taken countless classes of calculus, physics, meteorology, and geography classes. I am open to new teaching methods and suggestions and willing to stray away from the old school ways as long as it benefits both the student and I.

I am a broadcast meteorologist and I have been learning weather for about 7 years and now I get to teach people science in the most simple way by communicating through broadcasting. Science can be easily broken down and I explain it so everyone can understand.
