Robby is a Nationally Board Certified Social Studies teacher. His teaching experience has included teaching 7th Grade Social Studies and Project a school in Durham, NC. Additionally, Robby taught at a College Preparatory school, where he taught 20th Century History, Political Science and AP US Government & Politics. He is certified by the College Board in AP US Gov. and AP US History. Robby also brings experience writing Social Studies Curriculum and serving as a Middle School Social Studies Community Leader for 120+ schools.
In 2014, Robby moved back to his home in Western Maryland to accept a position as the Interim Camp Administrator at a Camp in Terra Alta, WV. Robby now serves as a Youth Minister and writes AP Social Studies Curriculum while pursuing a permanent teaching position.
Robby holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Science Secondary Education from Frostburg State University and a Master's of Science degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Drexel University.
He is a lifetime Boy Scout and Eagle Scout, an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Emergency Services Instructor for the University of Maryland. Among other things, he has experience working in the government working as an intern for Governor Ehrlich of Maryland, paging in the Maryland General Assembly, and interning at the White House. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
