Hello! I am currently a Pre-K teacher in Prince George's County Public Schools. I have a 3 year old son who keeps me very busy! I have worked in Baltimore County PubIic Schools and I am currently employed with Prince George's County Public Schools. I absolutely love my job and enjoy teaching everyday. I have experience teaching 1st,2nd and 3rd grade and I learned something different working with each grade level. I also have experience working with tutoring and intervention programs as I worked for a tutoring company after school for students that attend my elementary school, as well as being an after school tutor for a county intervention program for 1st-3rd grade students.
I am always looking to stay current and educate myself with new teaching methods and practices. I am currently enrolled at The George Washington University in their Master's Certificate Program for Special Education for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners. I enjoy using what I learn to help children grow and develop into their best selves. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a small child and I live my dream everyday. I am a certified Elementary Education teacher. I have experience teaching reading skills and comprehension as a classroom teacher for Pre-K,1st,2nd and 3rd grade. i have taught as a reading teacher in as a tutor,intervention instructor and summer camp reading counselor.
I am currently a teacher in PGCPS and I must align all of my classroom lesson to Common Core Standards. I have gone to numerous professional development trainings on Common Core and best practices which I use when I work with students daily.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
