I am currently an 8th grade English honors teacher. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and have taught most of those at the high school level. In addition, I have experience teaching GED prep and remedial English at all levels as well as SAT reading and writing, college essay writing, proofreading, and writing in response to literature,
I believe in meeting students where they are and moving them forward. I am patient and nurturing and have high expectations for every learner I work with. I use diverse strategies and techniques, for I believe that each learner is unique and processes and learns differently.
I require a 3 hour cancellation notice, and my schedule is flexible on most days and after 5 P.M. Most weekends are open as well.

The tutor seems to be very knowledgeable in the subject matter. She seems like should would have been a good tutor but the match dd not work for my son.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
