Hello. I have been an educator for more than 15 years! I have been a school media specialist at elementary, middle and high schools. This experience has prepared me to offer your child a myriad of effective materials. My major subjects are test preparation, reading comprehension, writing, and math for grades 2-8. I am patient, friendly, and serious about getting you the results you are looking for. If you want your child to be a better writer, reader, or test taker, try my services for at least six to eight weeks. I would recommend at least 1.5 hours per session. If your child requires help with more than one subject, it is best to spend at least 45 minutes to an hour on each. It is up to you if you feel he or she needs more practice - I am flexible.
We can meet at the main library nearest you or I am available to make home visits. We can use your textbooks or my own. There are also plenty of online practice tests, and fun stories your child and I can read together. Let me know how I might best meet your needs. Looking forward to working with you. Bye for now! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
