I am currently a college student, with extensive training in English grammar, writing, literature, history and Spanish language. I have been doing tutoring on and off for 5 years and have seen my students achieve grades they could have never imagined achieving! I believe that there is no such thing as a bad student- just an unmotivated one!
I am a fluent Spanish speaker. At university I was able to test out of the secondary language requirement by taking the Spanish Language CLEP test, where I attained a 74 out of a possible 80, earning 16 college credit hours. I am also of Latino heritage, so I have a deep understanding of culture and language nuances.
I am an English Major with a 3.8 GPA. I have taken English Grammar courses geared toward understanding technical writing and advance grammatical structure. I am skilled in MLA and APA formatting.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
