Saint Paul's College (Mathematics)
Greetings scholars. My name is Andre Robinson. I am originally from Newport News, VA and a graduate of Warwick High School in Newport News. Upon graduation from high school, I attended Saint Paul’s College located in Lawrenceville, VA; graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
I am currently teaching Algebra I and Integrated Mathematics at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School in Prince Georges County, MD. I enjoy teaching because I enjoy meeting people from different ethnicities, different backgrounds and cultures and I relish the opportunity to positively affect young people. I love tutoring Mathematics because it allows me to individualize or customize a student's learning. I am eagerly looking forward to helping to helping each student achieve what I call that "light bulb moment".
I absolutely love what I do. There's no better feeling than when you see that "light bulb moment" happen with a student. That's when you know that they've made a connection. That's when you know they've learned something.
I am very exited about the opportunity to work with you. Please contact me so that we can schedule the first of many enlightening sessions. Greetings scholars. My name is Andre Robinson. Andre seems to enjoy teaching and it shows. He has figured out where my son is struggling with Algebra 2 and is doing a great job motivating him. I've noticed a difference in his attitude towards his homework. My son, who doesn't connect with people easily seems to like him, which is obviously very important. Great job.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to tutor differential equations because I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. I have ten years of experience teaching Mathematics and tutoring in a variety of subjects from Pre-Algebra to Advance Calculus. I currently teach Algebra I at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
