About Roxanne

I have an associated degree in Paralegal Studies from Prince George's Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Maryland, and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Management from University of Maryland, University College. Upon graduating from University of Maryland, I worked as a project assistant at a law firm . There, I worked on real estate closings , pro bono cases, and criminal matters. I then left and worked for three years with the Maryland Disability Law Center (MDLC) as an Intake Specialist. There, we advocate for persons with disabilities that encountered problems with accessibility to private and public buildings, and special education. We also investigate all reports of neglect and abuse in group homes, mental institutions and mentally ill children in residential institutions. After MDLC, I joined the consumer affairs division of Giant corporate office. Here I investigate claims of product liability, product safety, and product quality.

Prior to migrating to the United States, I was a primary school teacher for four years and continued to tutor grade school children here in my home. I consider myself a demonstrative teacher because I provide many visual aids and examples. Moreover, I am well aware that not all children learn at the same pace or in the same manner and have adjusted my method to reach those children.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
