I am a passionate, nationally renown educator, public speaker & author of four books. I have over 10 years of experience as an educational consultant, working with students and various school systems, alike. I take time with the students I work with---my goal is comprehension. I want to give students the best opportunity to fully comprehend whatever it is I am teaching or tutoring. My strongest areas are: creative and non-fiction writing, public speaking, African History, African American History, African history, Social Studies, Geography, and Cultural Competency and Diversity. I also have experience in Basketball, Soccer and Boxing coaching. I look forward to working with you or your student/s.
I am an administrator and adjunct professor on the university level. I am patient with all of the students I teach and tutor. Ensuring that students have a strong grasp and comprehension of the subject matter is one of my goals as an educator. My tutoring approach is geared towards getting to know the student and tapping into his/her first curriculum (outside of the classroom experiences. This enables me to utilize myriad of the students experiences to enable them to better comprehend the lesson plans and material. I have procured national notoriety as an educator and orator predicated on my ability to teach. I have worked with students ranging from elementary school aged all the way to students within higher education (college).

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have played competitive basketball most of my life (at a high level) from high school to college and now with adult men's leagues.
I am a nationally renown and highly sought after orator, especially on the collegiate circuit. I have been a nationally recognized public speaker for over a decade now, mostly at colleges and universities. I have trained many people within the craft of public speaking. I commonly lecture on social issues, education, personal motivation and importance of teamwork. I help students develop their overall vocabulary, posture while lecturing, and how to actively engage their audience, while remaining themselves.
I have coached youth soccer for many years and have played the great sport much of my life.
I have worked as an academic advisor and trainer for several years. I helped students develop schedules and time management conducive to their overall success.
