I have also been featured on various radio and t.v. programs around the world & I have performed for many luminaries and dignitaries.

My first recorded solo effort features original compositions for guitar and solo piano, blending a soothing mix of Spanish, Latin and adult contemporary instrumental styles.

I enjoy teaching several styles of guitar-rock, pop, classical, Latin, jazz, rumba-flamenco, folk, country, etc. I am also a professional musician & I perform locally, nationally & internationally.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Guitar

I am an active musician, composer and teacher who resides near Washington, D.C. I have performed as a soloist and with various musical ensembles throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, North Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
I teach various styles of guitar music including rock, pop, jazz, classical, Latin & rumba-flamenco. Given the fact that my musical palette is so diverse I encourage my students to learn more than just one style of guitar playing. I stress the importance of sight reading via different method books (Hal Leonard, Aaron Shearer, Frederick Noad, etc.) as well as the art of improvisation & playing by ear.
I am the former vice president of the Washington Guitar Society & I was instrumental in helping form the Marlow Guitar Series which brings guitarists from around the globe to showcase their talents.
