About Divya

I am a graduate student at Johns Hopkins and I hope to become a professor one day after I graduate with my PhD. I started tutoring when I was in high school with a after school tutoring program. I would help students who were in classes that I had taken previously to help them understand the material better. I also tutored in undergrad for both the university and outside. I tutored in Calculus, Biology and SAT subjects. I really enjoy watching students use logic to understand the concept behind the subject they are learning. I am thrilled when students can use that logic to tackle similar, yet challenging problems.

I am a PhD student in Chemical Engineering. I have taken these courses throughout high school and college. I also had the opportunity to teach these courses as a tutor to high school and college students. I have taken AP Biology and currently am conducting research in the medicine field which requires a deep understanding of biology including anatomy and physiology.

Contact me if you are looking for a dedicated tutor who will do whatever it takes to help students understand. I am a strong believer in playing to students strengths and using that as a tool to help teach the material.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chemical Engineering

I have a B.S. from North Carolina State University in Chemical Engineering. I am currently a PhD student at Johns Hopkins University in the Chemical Engineering Department.

Differential Equations

I am currently a PhD student in the Chemical Engineering department at Johns Hopkins University. I took differential equations in Undergrad at North Carolina State University and received an A in the class. Through my degree program, I have learned how to incorporate differential equations in solving complex problems and understand the necessity the break it down into basics to teach someone.
