BFA: Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD (Art History)
I have a BFA in art history and curatorial studies, and the first part of a masters of art in teaching completed. I have spent the last four years tutoring my peers, especially those with English as a second language, to help them improve their writing and speaking skills.
Each of my sessions is personalized for your area of interest, as well as for your area of need. As you learn and grow, the lessons are adapted to fit your needs at any point in your growth.
I am flexible with your needs and will work hard to help you achieve your goals. Your success is my success, and I will do everything in your power to get you where you want to be. I take education very seriously, but I also think that it needs to be fun and engaging in order to help the lessons stick. So while a lot of it may feel tedious, there are plenty of moments within my lessons that will engage you and help you learn through movement and visual engagement.
I have a great grasp of the English language, but more than that, I am able to effectively communicate and aid others in bettering their own understanding of it. Additionally, I throw myself into everything that I do, usually with a great sense of humor, and often with creativity.
Please feel free to send me messages. Don't be afraid to ask me questions or request clarification. I'm here to help you, and that is best done through many, many questions.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received a BFA from one of the top art schools. During that time, I took upwards of two drawing classes a semester, as well as completed one year of a masters of art in teaching which focused on methods of teaching art.
