About Ryan

I have devoted my life to learning and teaching topics in political science, American politics, and international relations. As a doctoral candidate, masters degree recipient, and summa cum laude undergraduate, I know that hard work, attention to detail, and love of learning is essential to academic success. As a Hopkins adjunct instructor, I have seen firsthand hundreds of undergraduate students realize their potential, seeing their grades and test scores improve dramatically.

I specialize in teaching government and politics in the United States and around the world for high schoolers and undergraduates. I also have a background in History from the ancients to the modern and expository writing.

My primary goal with students is to challenge them to be better each session everyday, without overwhelming them. I assign homework each session, and provide feedback through grading and periodic progress reports.

I am generally available for tutoring every day from 9 am to 9 pm and can travel to students or meet with them online.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Political Science

I hold a Masters Degree and am currently a Doctoral Candidate in political science from Johns Hopkins University. I teach two seminars in political science and my dissertation is in political science.
