About Emily

Are you a creative thinker who needs a little help focusing or getting excited about writing or research projects? Maybe you're nervous about a speaking opportunity or assignment and need some feedback. Perhaps you have a test coming up in language or art history and need help memorizing key words and terms.

I can help with that!

I'm a former Navy journalist with an AA in Art History from Montgomery College and BA in Studio Art. I have experience working with ADD/ADHD and developing good study habits for people who think outside the box.

I have always excelled and had a passion for reading, writing, language and grammar. I have experience writing and editing professionally, as a journalist in the US Navy. In high school, I was editor of our newspaper! I also dabble in creative writing and can give feedback on plays, screenplays, short stories, poetry, or your latest novel.

You will find my rates are affordable, and I can come to you, anywhere in the Baltimore and DC area. Please do not hesitate to contact me so we can start working together on your success.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
