Hello my name is James. Very nice to meet you. I am a certified teacher with 13 years of experience, including 6 years of ESL teaching. I love teaching and have never wanted to do anything else! I have successfully taught both children and adults from over 50 different countries and almost as many native languages! I promise I know where your country is on the map and have probably taught someone from there before!
I am looking forward to getting to know you and learn exactly what your goals are. Hopefully, you can teach me a little about your culture as well!
I can help with a variety of ESL- related goals. I have experience proctoring the TOEFL and teaching TOEFL prep classes.
I can help with grammar, vocabulary, writing skills, and American culture. Even conversational skills and public speaking. Your goal is my goal!
I also have nine years of experience teaching Social Studies classes, including World Geography and Cultures and U.S. History.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
