I was born and raised in New York. I went to the High School of Art and Design and put art to the side for the next few years to work as an optical lab technician. I moved to Baltimore City 2008 to make a change. I went to the Community College of Baltimore County and received my Associate's Degree in Computer Illustration and transferred to Maryland Institute College of Art where I received My Bachelor's Degree in Illustration. I was art counselor For J Camps at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore in 2015. The difference in tutoring and teaching is all about pacing the teaching. I love working one-on-one with students.
I am Mac and PC proficient and I have worked with most aspects of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I taught campers different types of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and woodwork
and helped other counselors and campers in problem solving. I designed a logo for a contest for East Baltimore City called Open Hearts, and designed and illustrated a mural for a contest at Community College of Baltimore County for the Artist's Cafe in Catonsville, Maryland and contributed and Illustrated different pieces for the Community College of Baltimore County in 2012 including a mural collaboration and an illustration for the
CCBC calendar. I also partially designed and inked a 3-issue limited independent comic book series for MC Studios. I am proficient in almost every form of media (i.e. charcoal, graphite, acrylic, oil, watercolor, woodworking, pen and ink, ink wash).

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I illustrated a mural for a contest at Community College of Baltimore County for Artists Cafe in Catonsville Maryland. I also had pieces shown at the Art Walk and Senior Showcase at Maryland Institute College of art in May of 2015. I studied Illustration at Maryland Institute College of Art and graduated in June of 2015 This all helped me in my preparation as art counselor at J Camps where I also had to teach aspects of painting using acrylic paint, studying shadows and light and using techniques like scumbling and blending.
