I am dedicated to helping other students achieve their academic goals. My tutoring experience previously has been with students between the ages of 12-17 although I am open to working with both students that are younger or older. I have in class teaching experience for college age students.

I have previous tutoring experience in geometry and pre algebra as an independent tutor and precalculus through a school program. I am familiar with SAT math through my own experiences I had studying for the SATs and the methods and skills I developed from this time. I am a physics major and have a broad interest in science education and the best methods to promote lasting learning. I was a peer tutor in high school for IB Physics.

Please contact me if you have any questions about my background or the academic topics I am familiar with.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have tutored two high school students in algebra 1 previously. One was having problems keeping up in class and one was trying to get ahead over the summer. Both experiences allowed me to better adjust to the skills and needs of individual students.
Calculus,

Calculus

I took calculus in college after taking AP Calc and I struggled. The skills required for college level math courses were not something I had been prepared for. However I worked harder to develop the right study skills and did remedial training on my own so in the end I was a successful student. My problems adjusting to college math have given me great insight into the teaching process and developing study skills that work in the college setting.
Physics,

Physics

I majored in physics and minored in Math at Johns Hopkins. As a student I worked as a TA in physics at the college level. Since graduating I have continued to tutor at the college level and also the high school level. Physics is my favorite topic to teach and I enjoy sharing my love of physics with others.
