Massachusetts Institute of Technology (BioEngineering)
I am a current PhD Student at Johns Hopkins University studying Chemical Engineering. My undergraduate degree is in Biological Engineering from MIT with a focus in alternative energy studies. I have worked as a tutor in the past, and I have always found it extremely rewarding. If I can make learning math, science, and engineering easier for others, then hopefully I can encourage more students in engineering and advanced sciences. At MIT, they teach us to work with one another and help each other be better. I think everyone should work to this ideal and I want to start by helping out those where I can.
I am qualified to help in many areas other than just those listed on the WyzAnt website. I also have a background in electricity & magnetism, materials science, and environmental policy. If you need help in a topic that is not listed on my profile, send me a message and I will let you know if I can help.
I am available on the weekends and varying times during the week.

I have to say Nicole was available within an hour of my request. She was very knowledgeable in all areas of statistics that concerned me. She explained lessons in easy to understand terms, and really added much needed extra support to the class room lesson. Nicole is a great benefit to the tutoring community. Surely would call her again and recommend her to friends. Thank you.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
