Hello! I currently hold a conditional teaching certification in the state of Maryland in Special Education grades 6-adult. I have two more classes to take and I will obtain my full certification (almost there!)

I specialize in students with ASD, ADHD, and Emotional Disabilities. I am trauma informed, and certified in LSCI.

I have been working in the field of special education since May 2013. I started working in-home with kids and young adults with autism utilizing ABA techniques. I then started working as a paraeducator in various school programs. In January 2020, after being a long-term sub since August 2019, I received my conditional certification, and I have been teaching and taking college classes to get my full certification ever since. I am almost done! At this teaching position, I taught high school English to 9th and 10th graders with social emotional disabilities, and many also had ASD, ADHD, and learning disabilities.

I left that position in March of 2023, and I am now subbing for a local school system. I am currently looking for another full-time teaching position, but it probably will not begin until next school year.

The reason I have such a passion for special education is because I am neurodivergent myself! It can sometimes be difficult for neurotypicals to teach neurodivergent folks, but I am here to help!
