I am a student at Anne Arundel Community College. My major is secondary education/ Mathematics. My goal is to teach Algebra. I am very passionate about teaching math. I believe that Math can be fun if you have someone who is willing to break it down and go slow while they are teaching you.
I currently work for Anne Arundel County Public Schools as well as Anne Arundel County. I am a certified School Age Child Care teacher and I work with special education students. I have worked with children from ages 5 to 14. I have also worked with a Teaching Fellows Foundation in Fresno, California. I worked as a tutor for students who were below the basic standard in mathematics.
I view math as fun. Math is not the subject that comes second nature to me but it is the subject that I enjoy doing the most. I work hard when it comes to math and my goal is to make every student understand that they can be successful in math with hard work and a fresh perspective.
I work in a public school class room everyday. I know the curriculum and the expectations.
I currently work with Elementary students. I also help plan curriculum and modifications with classroom teachers.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
