About Jennifer

Hi! Thanks for reading my profile. I have over 20 years' experience working in human services. My role as a School Adjustment Counselor has been one of the most rewarding job positions that I have held. My responsibilities were to ensure students access the curriculum and when teachers and students were faced with challenges, I was called in to provide solutions. I hold both the MTEL and School Adjustment Counselor Licenses.

Grant writing has been one of my fortes. I wrote scholarship essays for my undergraduate and graduate colleges. I was awarded scholarships to all 3 of my colleges! My graduate college, Assumption College, awarded me a Teaching Assistant Scholarship, which waived my tuition. As a graduate intern, I wrote grants for a nonprofit agency. Lastly, I published an article in the Journal of Geropsychology.

I worked in the school system for 7 years at the elementary level. I also have twins that have graduated from elementary school (my son received a perfect score on his math MCAS) and my youngest child currently attends third grade.

Writing, practicing, tutoring and the enjoyment of teaching students how to spell and use proper grammar boost my qualification level.

Many years of preparing myself for college and career development, tutoring my children every night and working with students during the day with their subjects, behavior, motivation and goals.

My job performance evaluations are excellent, many years of experience in education and child development studies, ongoing research and completed every training I could possibly attend.

If you're stuck and feel like you tried everything and you need something new to get you to the next level, reach out to me and I will guide you there. So, don't worry. With a little help by scheduling a lesson with me, you will be prepared and feel more confident!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

For over 20 years, I have spent my career working with individuals with disabilities such as dyslexia.
