I am passionate about art, literature, photography, psychology, and overall well-being and health, both emotionally as well as psychologically and physically. Due to my determination, love of words, and passionate nature, I started college at age 16. After receiving my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at age 22, I proceeded to get licensed as an English teacher, certified in teaching English as a Second Language, and then to travel the country and the world. I lived out of my car for three months while seeing America, taking photographs and writing poetry.
Now that I have returned home to Massachusetts, I have settled down, purchased a house and began my career as a Literacy and English teacher. I am also an award-winning local playwright and actress, and a local photographer. I continue to strive for excellence, and to contribute to a community and the people whom I care about. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
