As a professional opera singer, I have long been interested in teaching the art of singing to others. I have two degrees in vocal performance, and have extensive training in voice pedagogy as well. I have worked with singers of all different ages and experience levels. I am highly qualified to teach voice, and passionate about singing.
I began taking lessons as a young teenager, but I believe there is no wrong time to start learning how to sing. I teach a classical technique which can be applied to all manners of singing; not just classical music, but musical theater, and popular music as well. I believe that the most important thing about teaching voice is maintaining vocal health. This means that no matter what a student wants to sing, I can help him or her learn to sing in a way that will remain healthy for many years to come.
I prefer to teach in the student's home, and a piano is very helpful to have available.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have two degrees in vocal performance. I received my Bachelor of Music degree is from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. My Master's of Vocal Performance and Pedagogy is from Westminster Choir College. I have been teaching voice for 4 years, while I have also had an active performing career. I am very knowledgable about vocal pedagogy, and teach a very healthy technique to my students.
