Teaching elementary aged children has been my life's career where I have shared my love of learning and enjoyment of subject matter. Most of my teaching and public school experience was in Belmont and Winchester, MA, both systems with families who set high standards for their teachers and students. I have strengths in all academic areas of the curriculum as most of my experience is as a regular elementary school classroom teacher. My most recent experience in the schools is to have served the town of Winchester as a math coach to the teachers, principals and assistant superintendent for several years. As well as working with math, reading, writing and special needs, I have repeatedly prepared students for and administered MCAS tests with high proficiency scores resulting. I love working with special needs and gifted children as well as students who fall within the normal range of the learning spectrum. I have many tried and true techniques to help your child achieve his/her potential at my fingertips. It is a joy to see children light up as they learn so well in a one to one tutoring situation. I am also happy to be in contact with your child's classroom teacher and work as a liaison for you and your youngster. I look forward to hearing from you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
