Hi everyone! Chemistry can sometimes be a pretty daunting subject to learn in school, can't it? Allow a highly experienced professional such as myself to help you understand and comprehend what is truly a fascinating scientific field! I have a doctorate in organic chemistry from Rutgers University and have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years. I have taught numerous general and organic chemistry recitations and laboratories and provided tutelage for many students. I completely understand that there is no one size fits all approach to teaching a subject; so I will strive to understand what style of learner you are, how you best process information and tailor my tutoring approach that works best--for you!
In addition, I am also certified to tutor for the following areas: ACT, prealgebra, algebra I & II, biochemistry, biology, organic chemistry, physical science and SAT math, should you require help with any of those subjects. Thank you and good luck!

I was tutored this summer by Brian K. in Organic Chemistry. Aside from being a really nice person, Brian was also a great tutor. He knows his subject matter well and is able to convey the material in a very interesting manner. He broke down the subject into meaningful terms and concepts that I could relate to, which enabled me to truly grasp the material. I believe he helped prepare me for my continued studies and a very favorable outcome in this subject. Brian worked at a pace conducive to my learning needs and was very flexible and accommodating. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone seeking tutoring help.
Brian is a top-notch tutor with infinite wisdom in the field of Organic Chemistry. I was very lucky to have found Brian through Wyzant for my son. Brian was very patient and kind as he walked my son through various lessons and helped decipher class lecture notes so that my son could make sense out of them. I would highly recommend Brian!
Brian has worked with my child on High School Chemistry for about a month. He is patient, kind and knowledgeable on the subject and very accommodating with scheduling. Brian explains the concepts well and my child now has better understanding on the subject. We are very happy that we have Brian helping.
Brian is a wonderful tutor. He is currently tutoring my high school child in Biochemistry. He is extremely patient and encouraging. He is working on building the confidence and skills my child needs to be successful. My child's grades and study skills have steadily improved since the very first session. Brian is conscientious and makes himself readily available. We are very happy - Brian is just what we were looking for in a tutor!
Our daughter has been working with Brian for about a month and is finding the extra help valuable. Brian has a really nice way of explaining the concepts and is careful to make sure she is understanding before he moves on. Brian is very accommodating with scheduling and will spend the extra time to make sure everything is covered. We have been quite pleased.
Brian is very kind and patient while working with the child. He will strive to understand the difficulties of the student he is teaching.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Organic chemistry is the field of chemistry that I chose to specialize in while in college. I earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Rutgers University and have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years as a synthetic organic chemist. While in graduate school working as a teaching assistant, I was responsible for teaching many organic chemistry recitations and laboratories as well as mentoring and tutoring numerous students. Organic chemistry is my favorite aspect of chemistry and would love the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and knowledge about it with you.
