I hold a BA in French,I lived in France as a high school student, and I view language-learning as a wonderful,life-long process. I am passionate about the French language and strive to create a teaching atmosphere that is both fun and effective. I gear my tutoring to the specific level of proficiency of each student. I teach grammar, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, and conversational skills. I am very patient and friendly and I look forward to working with students of all levels. Students should plan on bringing their school textbooks and French class assignments to the tutoring sessions. Students with no prior exposure to the French language are also welcome, but should plan on purchasing their own elementary French language textbook. Each student should indicate his or her level of study prior to the first tutoring session. It is also helpful for me to know if a student wishes to focus on certain areas of the language moreso than others. A bientot!/See you soon!
I also tutor English grammar, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, and conversational skills. I work with both native speakers and students who speak English as a second language. Students of all ages are welcome. Students must provide their own textbooks and/or other reading materials. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
