I am a French native speaker, mother of two little boys. I have tutored at the Middle school and College in France during 5 years with individual and small groups. Since 2012, I'm a private tutor.
This summer I improved my competences with a formation about teaching French (conversation) to foreign people (beginner level to advanced).
For me, a relationship of trust and honesty (between the student and me and the parents) promotes a healthy learning. I'm opened, comprehensive and the student can tell me what he/she is thinking about me and my methods. I'm an malleable teacher, and if the way I teach doesn't fit to the student, I try an other approach.
I adapt the difficulty of my classes and exercises according to the student skills but without forgetting the goal to achieve. I'm a demanding teacher who gives homework (But I'm very friendly!)
After each class, I will give a feedback about the lesson of the day, what we did and what we'll do next time.
I just love teaching and the sensation I can obtain when I see the self satisfaction of the student who has understood the point of grammar for example, or who has be able to speak French.
I'll be happy to share my knowledge, my culture and my enthusiasm with you. I am a French native speaker, mother of two little boys. I have tutored at the Middle school and College in France during 5 years with individual and small groups. Since 2012, I'm a private tutor.

Marie has been working with my daughter (10th grader) for several months and her French has improved greatly. Marie is a French native and has helped tremendously with conversational French (plus all of the other stuff). Marie was also able to e-mail with my daughter's French teacher to make sure she is covering the class curriculum. My daughter enjoys working with Marie and she is always prompt, kind, and easy to contact.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
