Since graduating from Tufts in 1998, I have been working with students on meeting their education goals. I possess Massachusetts state licensure in high school guidance counseling and have served as a volunteer guidance counselor in both Quincy and Malden, MA. I specifically work with students on their college applications. Some of my other career highlights include working as an ESL teacher in Hong Kong through the Princeton-in-Asia teaching fellowship, teaching writing skills to fellow graduate students at the Columbia Teachers College, and creating a college access program for low-income youth in Boston. My college access program consisted of campus tours, informational workshops, financial aid assistance, and college essay writing help. Personally, I know how important these essays can be. I was an honor student at Westwood High School and believe that my college essays got me into my reach school - Tufts! In addition to general applications help, I can provide suggestions on how to compare schools, am willing to accompany students on college fairs/tours, and can facilitate post visit discussions comparing different schools toured. I am also able to offer career interests testing for students that might be unsure of what they want to study in college. Knowing clearly what your interests and needs are will make for a more successful match between student and college.
