I have taught all levels of Spanish throughout my career as a Spanish teacher and continue to love what I do. My most recent long term commitment was to Concord Academy in Concord, Ma. where I taught grades 9-12 for 22 years. During those years I taught levels 1-IV Advanced Placement Spanish. During the last 2 years I have tutored many students at Middlesex School and Concord Academy. During the last year and a half I taught middle school at St. Joseph's School in Medford and I was a substitute Spanish teacher for 3 months at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School. Currently I am teaching Spanish at Dedham Country Day School.
Over the years I have worked hard to modify my tutoring/teaching style to accommodate as many learning styles as possible. As I am a caring and enthusiastic educator I feel that my greatest successes have been with students who have either become disheartened by their previous language experience or have lost their confidence in their ability to learn a foreign language.

I always look forward to my sessions with Pam, they are fun and I learn alot as well. I've also started to enjoy Spanish again, because I understand it better and feel more comfortable speaking in class. I was so excited when my grade went up an entire letter grade after working with Pam. All in all it was a great decision to choose Pam as my tutor!
Pamela is great tutor with my daughter. She instantly creates rapport and is very encouraging.
She is well prepared and making a difference!
Pamela B has been tutoring my daughter in high school Spanish. She is extremely nice and my daughter has enjoyed working with her. Pamela is very accessible and punctual. She has brought outside materials into the sessions. My daughter has gained confidence in her oral and her written work. We are very happy with Pamela.
So far my daughter has only had a couple of sessions with Pam, but it has been incredibly helpful. She did very well on her first quiz and seemed to have a better understanding. My daughter is dyslexic and has trouble with foreign languages, but Pam is patient, encouraging and very good at breaking it down for her! So far, so good!
Pam helped my daughter with high school Spanish. She was unfailingly upbeat and supportive, and my daughter greatly appreciated her positive attitude. My daughter's grades improved significantly after working with Pam and she regained her previous confidence in the subject.
Pam is a woderful teacher who is very resposive to what I want to focus on in lerning spanish. She is very encouraging and is able to communicate her strong command of the language (and grammar) in an organized and very comprehensible manner. I feel that I have definitely improved my speaking ability by meeting with Pam.
My son had intensive final check-up sessions for SAT II Spanish test. I should have hired her much earlier to prepare for SAT subject test. She was so experienced and pinpointed what my son had to do before the test. So satisfied.
My daughter responded very well to Pam's teaching. I wish I had hired her much earlier in the school year. She brought a fun-loving, compassionate and very experienced approach which made my daughter start to love Spanish again.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
