I hold an initial teaching license for English grades 5-12. I have taught in many urban public school districts in Massachusetts including Chelsea and Lynn. I am also one year away from my Masters in English from UMass Boston. On top of my graduate course study I also tutor undergraduate English students, teach my own section of English 101- the art of fiction, and assist my professors in their research projects.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
