I have an MEd from Concordia University and a degree in Mathematics from UMass Lowell. I am currently a high school mathematics teacher. I have been teaching mathematics at the same high school for more than 13 years. Through college I always saw myself as a teacher but I felt I wasn't ready to go into the classroom until I was older.
Prior to teaching, I worked for an insurance company as an actuarial student, a quality assurance tester for actuarial calculations and a computer programmer. During my time at the insurance company, I enjoyed working with my co-workers and helping the understand the calculations that the system was doing. This led me to pursue a career in teaching once my own children were born.
I enjoy tutoring students because it allows me to work one-on-one with individual students and to see them gain confidence in their mathematical ability. There is nothing more rewarding than hearing that a student that I tutored did well in a class.
I am a qualified high school mathematics teacher with more than 13 years experience in the classroom. I have worked with students of all ages and thoroughly enjoy seeing the successes that they have all achieved.
If you are interested in meeting with me so that you can gain a better understanding of the mathematics course that you are currently taking, please contact me to set up an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
