Andy tutored my son for Honors Algebra II and Trigonometry (sophomore year of high school). Before we hired Andy, my son was having a very difficult time, both because of the difficulty level of the material, and the teacher's poor teaching skills (many other kids in the class were having similar problems). His grades were very low, and his confidence was shot. Andy did a great job helping my son understand the material better, and also regain his confidence in his abilities. Andy was very patient, very easy to understand, and in complete command of the subject matter. My son looked forward to his tutoring sessions, and really liked Andy. As a result of Andy's invaluable help, my son's grades rose considerably, and he ended up with a very respectable grade for the year, much to my son's (and my) relief.

As parents, my wife and I greatly appreciated Andy's professionalism, his skill, and his easy manner, as well as his flexibility (we often had to change times because of conflicts, and Andy was very accommodating).

Andy truly is a wonderful tutor, and he is the first person we would turn to if our son had future difficulties with math.

My daughter felt more confident just after the first lesson. She said having the problems broken down step by step made helps her to figure out where she was having issues with her problem solving.

Andy was the third tutor we tried for a very difficult situation with our high school student. Our student was struggling with difficult course material as well as a teacher/student mismatch. Andy jumped in, looked at old quizzes and tests, talked with our child, and identified problem areas right away. He could tell how our student learned best and used techniques (and tricks and tips) to help him succeed. In addition to that, he gave him tips for how and what to study (and how often). Our kid really respects and admires Andy - so do we - and it is well deserved!

A recent D average is turning around, my son's last test was a 100 thanks to Andrew's help, it is exactly the extra help needed.

Andrew reviewed Will's classroom work, homework and next time he will review recent mid term exams. Andrew recommended 1 to 1.5 hours per week for a few weeks. He was very patient with our son. Thank you

My son has been working with Andrew for a few weeks now, as his honors algebra class moves faster than he was used to in his previous math classes. Andrew has given him a sense of confidence that he had lost, and his patience in working with him through some rough patches has contributed greatly to my son's willingness to work hard.

An excellent tutor who I highly recommend.

Andrew helped clarify physics terminology and examples. He also brought clarity into the realm of physics. He is very insight and knowledgeable in the field of physics and mathematics.

Thanks Melissa! I'm very happy to hear I was able to help you gain a stronger comprehension of the material. I appreciate the feedback as well.

Andrew has been tutoring my son since September of 2014. My son has really responded to Andrew and easily holds his attention throughout the session which is always informative and never boring. He has become my son's go to guy for any help needed in Physics and SAT math review. Before we found Andrew via WyzAnt, my son felt defeated and was ready to withdraw from physics. These tutoring sessions have given my son full understanding of subject matter, improved grades and most Importantly a new found confidence to tackle challenges. When Andrew relocated my son started to panic a bit, but our fears were quickly alleviated when the option to tutor on line became available. We feel fortunate to have found such a great tutor :)

Andy connects with my 15 year old and is able to explain complicated subject matter so that it's easily understandable. We should have gotten him much sooner! One night our daughter forgot her materials but Andy didn't miss a beat and was able to Google examples and get the information across to her. She got her first 84 which is WAY BETTER then prior exams! THANKS ANDY!

My son Rob used Andy during his Christmas break from college for additional help with his engineering classes. My son had a great experience with Andy because he was very knowledgeable about the material and also was able to break down complex problems into a more understandable form. My son had a difficult time with some of these problems last semester and said he wished his professors explained them as well as Andy. Now my son is back up to speed in his classes thanks to Andy. My son already told me he intends on working with Andy again this summer when he gets back home. If anyone is looking for a tutor in math/science/engineering/etc., I highly recommend you give Andy a call. Both my son and I thought he was a terrific tutor.

I was very fortunate to find Andrew on WyzAnt. My class was college level mathematics that covered a wide range of subjects, and Andrew was right on the ball for all of it. He gave very clear and accurate explanations for areas I had trouble with. I was very impressed. I highly recommend Andrew as a tutor! You won't regret it.

Andrew is great working with my son who can be very resistant to learning and putting in effort. I believe my son is getting more confident in his math skills thanks to Andrew's help.

I can't thank Andrew enough for being there when my son needed him. He explains things so well, and my son is learning so much. College professors often assign problems that weren't clearly taught, and Andrew has really filled in the gaps.

Andrew did an amazing job working with my son as he prepped for the SAT test. He was patient, upbeat and very clear. He was able to get to the heart of understanding the work. My son's math skills improved significantly. They focused on his gaps and weaknesses moving quickly through Algebra, Trigonometry and skills needed for the exam. He connected with Andrew and really dug in to do the work. I was personally impressed by Andrew's professionalism. He sent unprompted reports to me after each session so I knew how the session went, his progress and what needed work. As a working mom this was super valuable for me and not something that all the tutors do. Thank you Andrew for the great support!

Andy was great with my son. He said he could do problems easily after Andy's explanation that he had spent an hour on with no luck. We are very pleased and look forward to more sessions with Andy. Thanks Andy.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I started Algebra when I was in 3rd grade and I've always had a knack for it. Whenever I tutor students in higher level Math the first thing I always gauge is their grasp of Algebra techniques. Therefore I would say that I have more experience tutoring Algebra than any of my other subjects.

I started Algebra when I was in 3rd grade and I've always had a knack for it. I got A's all through school and algebra is a must know subject if you get a degree in engineering.

I got an A+ in calculus in high school and a 5 on the BC Calculus AP Test. I have two degrees in engineering, and calculus is a must-know subject for that.

I took Differential Equations at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received an A in the course.

I took Micro and Macro Economics in High School and got an A in both and a 4 and a 5 on the AP tests respectively. I also took several economics courses in college, getting at least an A- in all of them.

I've been in advanced math programs ever since 3rd grade. I was on my high school math team in high school and was the top ranked senior in the state of Connecticut in 2007.

I've always excelled at science. My senior year of high school I won the Rensselaer Medal which is given to the top Math & Science student in the school every year.

I got an A+ in Geometry in high school.

I have taken many courses at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where linear algebra is key to understanding the concepts, such as Multivariable Calculus, Systems Analysis Techniques, Robotics and others. I have received stellar grades in all these classes.

I have a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I had a 3.61 GPA undergraduate and a 3.76 GPA for my graduate work. I can provide a resume, diploma and transcript to prove both if needed.

I have a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from RPI. I was a Physics TA in college and have been tutoring Physics since I was a senior in high school. My mom is a retired AP Physics instructor so I guess teaching physics must run in the family.

I started Algebra in 3rd grade. I always got A's in math throughout college and high school.

I got an A+ in pre-calc in high school. The teacher would even have me help him teach the class from time to time.

I took a standard engineering probability course (Modeling and Analysis of Uncertainty) in college and received a B+. I am very familiar with the subject.

I received an 800 on the Math SAT. Additionally, I have been trained in the new SAT and work with Boston Scholar Athletes to teach SAT Prep courses at public schools all over the Boston area.

It's spelling. It's mostly memorization.

I got an A+ in Trig in high school. I have a Master's of Mechanical Engineering and you can't get that without having a strong understanding of Trigonometry.
