Nancy is an excellent tutor. Explains things in a way that is easy to understand AND she really knows her way around standardized testing. I am taking the GRE next week and feel much more prepared since I have worked with her on the math content. I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing any math or standardized testing help.
Nancy has only been working with my daughter for a couple of weeks but and my daughter's confidence has soared. My daughter's geometry quiz was postponed yesterday and she was disappointed because she was well prepared!
This is the second year my daughter has requested Nancy. The first time we did about 5 sessions and this time she will only need a few sessions. My daughter loves Nancy because she makes learning fun and understandable. Thank you Nancy for being so great with my daughter!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a former teacher and have had special needs students in my classroom. My most recent job was at Swampscott H.S. I taught a low-level Algebra I class. My students all were special needs. One child was Autistic, one child was visually impaired and my other students had learning disabilities and were on ED PLANS. I worked closely with the Special Ed teachers and the Aides who worked with my students. I had to adapt my materials to accommodate my students' abilities and Ed plans. I have tutored many students over the years with Ed plans as well.
