College of the Holy Cross (Mathematics)
I really enjoy tutoring students. In fact, I love tutoring math so much that I recently completed the MTEL requirements to become a Math Teacher. In the past, I have tutored 5th graders, 8th graders, high school and college students. I have also worked with students to improve their reading skills. I realize the importance in finding the most efficient tutoring style for each student. I have used all types of games and methods to help keep math and reading fun and engaging. I believe it is important to make students realize it's exciting and important to learn. There is nothing I love more than seeing someone gain more confidence in subjects they once found intimidating.
I look forward to working with you!

Without Bridget's help my daughter would not have been able to pass 9th Grade Algebra I under the Massachusetts new common core standards. With consistent weekly tutoring sessions (1 to 2 hrs per session), my daughter was able to build her confidence and overcome common mistakes and master some challenging problems. Knowing that Bridget was willing to travel to our home to conduct regular tutoring sessions was a huge help and certainly made life a lot easier for us. Thank you Bridget!
She gets along great with my daughter which can be a problem if my daughter doesn't like her tutor.
She is very easy to get ahold of and is always on time.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
