Hi! My name is Jorge. I'm a 2014 graduate of Harvard College where I graduated magna cum laude in Economics and in the top 10% of my class overall. While at Harvard I also took considerable coursework in literature and language (my favorite class: Old English), ran a community service program, and wrote a thesis on the effect of childhood events on adult economic outlooks. Since graduating I've worked as a business analyst, gaining an in-depth knowledge of the SQL database language along the way.
I'm originally from Costa Rica, where I scored 2400 on the SAT previous to coming to Boston.
I received a Perfect score on the SAT math exam and I have had a rigorous quantitative background in economics.
I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish and am able to switch quickly and fluidly between languages.
I received a perfect score on the SAT writing exam and I am a published writer.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
