I have been quilting since I graduated from high school. I used to sew all my children's holiday outfits, matching of course. I recently started teaching a middle school age girl that goes to my church doll making and have been having a lot of fun doing it. I would like to teach more sewing and quilting and share my love of the craft with others.

My sister said that Kristin was a bottomless pit of knowledge and taught her so much in just her first lesson! She can't wait for the next one!!!
Kristin helped me dust off and start sewing machine and helped me overcome my fear of getting started. She has a very approachable personality and has tons of sewing and Quilting experience. I highly recommend Kristin!
Kristin is an excellent teacher! Very thorough, well-organized and professional. Kind and patient. Even more, she is inspires creativity. Could not be happier with the lessons!
My daughter wanted sewing lessons, and I needed someone with the patience of a saint. I found Kristin. She really took the time to teach her about the sewing machine, and cutting a pattern. My daughter is looking forward to her next lesson.
Last night I had my first sewing lesson with Kristin. She is friendly, patient, and informative. All qualities I find admirable when learning a new task. She is a skilled and experienced sewer and quilter. I am excited to see what knowledge next (and beyond) lesson brings!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a longarm quilting business that I started in 2006. I have been quilting since 1977 after taking an adult ed class at my local high school. I have made many quilts over the years for friends and family. I recently won 3 ribbons on my seasons banners at my local guild, 2 red (second) and one blue (first place).
I belong to a Quilters Guild. I have taken many classes at local shops and quilting events. Over the years I have made clothing and costumes for my own 3 children and relatives children.
