Babson College (Business Administration)
Boston College (Enrolled)
If you are looking for a writing, English, GRE, or SAT tutor, then I would like to work with you.
My tutoring career began as a writing consultant at Babson College, where I received my BS in business administration. At the school's Writing Center, I worked 10 hours a week, tutoring undergraduates, graduates, and even the occasional visiting professor. My time in the Writing Center was rewarding and enjoyable, and my tutees improved leaps and bounds over the year of my employment. I would be more than happy to provide references from either my former supervisor at the Writing Center, or from past students if interested. I am now looking to continue this tutoring work, and would love to work with writer's of all skill levels, and of all ages.
I have since graduated from Babson, and am in my second year of a full time MA program at Boston Collegel. The program is in philosophy and theology, and I have a passion for all work in the humanities. Applying for grad programs required taking the GRE, and I did quite well: 170 verbal, 5.5 analytical, 159 quantitative. I studied for the test myself, and would be more than happy to share my strategies, tips, and knowledge with anyone interested. I welcome anyone interested in taking the GRE, and I think my skills align especially well with those interested in pursuing graduate studies in the humanities.
I am also more than comfortable applying my tutoring experience to other forms of test prep--SAT, GED, AP, IB, etc.
If you decide to work with me, we can meet at any location of your choosing--I have transportation, so that's not an issue.
I look forward to hearing from you, and to working with you soon! If you are looking for a writing, English, GRE, or SAT tutor, then I would like to work with you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have studied Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for five years under Alexey Cruz. I have taught and helped teach Jiu Jitsu at The Greater Portland School of Jukado in Portland, Maine, under the tutelage of Bruce Carleton.
